Bathinda Cantonment railway station is a railway station serving the Bathinda Cantonment area of Bathinda city in the state of Punjab, India. It is a subsidiary station to the much larger Bathinda Junction, and primarily caters to passengers travelling to and from the cantonment and adjacent localities.

Background

Bathinda is one of the principal railway hubs of the Malwa region of Punjab, with lines radiating in multiple directions towards Delhi, Ambala, Firozpur, Rewari and Sri Ganganagar. Bathinda Cantonment station is situated on the rail network in the vicinity of the Bathinda Military Station, an important Indian Army installation. As is typical of cantonment stations across India, it provides a railhead close to military establishments and surrounding civilian neighbourhoods, supplementing the main city station.
