Ballabhgarh railway station is a railway station serving the town of Ballabhgarh in the Faridabad district of Haryana, India. It lies on the Delhi–Mathura section of the Indian Railways network and forms part of the suburban rail corridor connecting the National Capital Region with cities further south on the route to Agra and Mathura.

Overview

The station functions primarily as a commuter and passenger halt on the busy Delhi–Mathura corridor. It is one of the southern terminating points for several suburban EMU services originating from New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin and Old Delhi, making it an important node for daily commuters travelling between Faridabad and the Delhi metropolitan area.

Location and connectivity

Ballabhgarh lies south of Faridabad town and is well integrated with road transport via National Highway 19 (the Delhi–Agra highway). The station provides road connections to nearby industrial and residential areas of Faridabad, Palwal and surrounding villages. The Delhi Metro's Violet Line was later extended southward to a terminal at Raja Nahar Singh in Ballabhgarh, providing an additional rapid transit option in the same urban area.

The station handles a mix of:

  • Suburban EMU passenger services on the Delhi–Palwal–Mathura section.
  • Ordinary passenger and MEMU services connecting it with stations across the Delhi division.
  • Selected mail and express trains that halt here on the trunk route to Mathura, Agra and beyond.
