Background

Career
International cricket
Azam represents Pakistan in international cricket and has played in all three formats — Test matches, One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals. He was part of the Pakistan squad that won the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, the country's first title in that tournament.
He went on to captain the Pakistan national side in Tests, ODIs and T20Is, before relinquishing the captaincy in all formats.
