Early work in Malayalam cinema

She made her acting debut with Sundarikkutty in 2015. Her breakthrough came with Maheshinte Prathikaaram (2016), directed by Dileesh Pothan and starring Fahadh Faasil, in which she played Jimsy. Aparna made her Tamil debut and earned widespread acclaim for her role as Sundari (Bommi) in Soorarai Pottru (2020), directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment. The film, inspired by the life of Air Deccan founder G. R. Gopinath, was released on Amazon Prime Video. For her performance, she received the National Film Award for Best Actress at the 68th National Film Awards.
