Overview
Anupamaa is an Indian Hindi-language television drama series that premiered on 16 March 2020 on Star Plus. Produced by Rajan Shahi under his banner Director's Kut Productions, the show is an adaptation of the Star Jalsha Bengali serial Sreemoyee. It centres on the life of a self-sacrificing homemaker who rediscovers her identity and ambitions in middle age. Rupali Ganguly as Anupamaa
Rupali Ganguly plays the title role of Anupamaa Shah, a homemaker from Ahmedabad who balances family duties with her aspirations as a dance teacher and entrepreneur. The role marked Ganguly's return to lead television work after her earlier appearances in shows such as Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Bhakharwadi. Her portrayal has been widely recognised at Indian television awards.
Sudhanshu Pandey as Vanraj Shah
Sudhanshu Pandey portrayed Vanraj Shah, Anupamaa's husband during the early arcs of the show. Pandey, earlier known for his work in films and as a member of the band Band of Boys, exited the serial after a long stint as one of the male leads.
Gaurav Khanna as Anuj Kapadia
Gaurav Khanna joined the show as Anuj Kapadia, a successful businessman and Anupamaa's college friend who becomes her second husband in the storyline. Khanna had previously appeared in shows such as Meri Doli Tere Angana and Prem Ya Paheli – Chandrakanta.
Madalsa Sharma as Kavya
