Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur (AIIMS Jodhpur; IAST: Akhil Bharatiya Aayurvigyan Sansthan Jodhpur) is a medical institute and medical research public university situated in Jodhpur, India. It is considered an Institute of National Importance and is one of the twenty All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) established across the country.

The institute was established in 2012 and operates autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It is governed under the AIIMS Act, 1956, the legislative framework that provides for the constitution and functioning of the AIIMS group of institutions.

AIIMS Jodhpur is mandated to undertake activities in the areas of medical education, research and patient care. As part of its broader mission, the institute also works towards the establishment of models for affordable and quality healthcare through innovations in medical practice and service delivery.
