Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) is a state agricultural university in Andhra Pradesh, India. The university is named in honour of Acharya Gogineni Ranga Nayukulu (N. G. Ranga), an Indian freedom fighter, parliamentarian and farmers' leader, who is widely regarded as an exponent of the peasant philosophy in India.

Background
The university takes its name from N. G. Ranga, born on 7 November 1900 and died on 9 June 1995. Ranga was a classical liberal politician, a leader of the Indian peasant movement, and the founding president of the Swatantra Party. He served in the Indian Parliament for six decades, from 1930 to 1991, and was conferred the Padma Vibhushan in recognition of his contributions to the peasant movement in India.
