Abul Hasnat (1955 – 2019) was an Indian medical doctor and politician from West Bengal. He represented the Magrahat Paschim Assembly constituency in the South 24 Parganas district as a Member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly.

Background

The seat lies in a predominantly rural and semi-urban area south of Kolkata, with a substantial Muslim population, and has historically been contested by the Left Front, the Indian National Congress and the Trinamool Congress.
Death
Hasnat died in 2019, while still associated with active political life in West Bengal.
