Overview

Khan Abdur Razzak (born 15 June 1982) is a Bangladeshi former cricketer who represented the national team in all formats of the game. A tall left-arm orthodox spin bowler, he is the first Bangladeshi to take 200 wickets in One Day Internationals, and the first left-arm spinner — and second spinner overall, after Saqlain Mushtaq — to claim a hat-trick in ODIs.

Razzak made his first-class debut for Khulna Division in the 2001/02 season, helping his side to the National Cricket title in his maiden campaign. He was subsequently selected for Bangladesh A, the training team for the full national squad, and performed well against Zimbabwe A, including a return of 7 wickets for 17 runs in a match in Dhaka.

At international level, Razzak played nine Tests and was more successful in the limited-overs format. He was Bangladesh's leading wicket-taker in ODIs in 2013, the year in which he reached the 200-wicket milestone in the format. After an absence of four years from the longest format, he returned to the Test squad on 8 February 2018 against Sri Lanka, taking 4 for 63 while opening the bowling, though Bangladesh lost the match by 215 runs.

In January 2018, Razzak became the first Bangladesh player to take 500 wickets in first-class cricket. In November 2019, he reached 600 first-class wickets, again becoming the first Bangladeshi bowler to do so. He announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in February 2021. In 2025, he was elected as a director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
