Overview
The station takes its name from the Ahmedabad Education Campus locality and provides connectivity for commuters travelling to nearby educational institutions, offices and residential neighbourhoods. As with other stations on the Ahmedabad Metro, AEC is integrated into the city's broader public transport effort to ease road congestion and offer a faster alternative to bus and private vehicle travel.
Background
The Ahmedabad Metro project was developed to connect major hubs across Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar through two principal corridors.
