The Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) is a state-owned public transport operator that runs road passenger services in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It operates intra-state, inter-state and long-distance bus services, connecting towns and cities within Uttarakhand to neighbouring states including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Uttarakhand was carved out of Uttar Pradesh in November 2000. Following the formation of the new state, road transport services in the region — previously administered as part of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) — were progressively reorganised, leading to the establishment of a separate corporation for the hill state. The Uttarakhand Transport Corporation was constituted under the framework of the Road Transport Corporations Act, 1950, to provide an efficient, adequate and economical road transport service in the state.
UTC operates a fleet of buses spanning ordinary, semi-deluxe, deluxe, air-conditioned and Volvo-class services. Its network covers the plains districts such as Dehradun, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar as well as the hill regions of Garhwal and Kumaon, including services to towns like Rishikesh, Pauri, Srinagar, Tehri, Uttarkashi, Nainital, Almora, Pithoragarh and Champawat. The corporation plays a significant role during the annual Char Dham Yatra and the Kanwar Yatra, when special services are deployed for pilgrim traffic.
Major inter-state routes link Uttarakhand with Delhi (notably from the Inter State Bus Terminals at Kashmere Gate and Anand Vihar), Lucknow, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Shimla and Dharamshala. Important bus stations operated or used by UTC include the Dehradun ISBT, Haridwar Bus Station, Rishikesh Bus Station, Haldwani Bus Station and Kathgodam.
The corporation functions under the administrative control of the Department of Transport, Government of Uttarakhand. It is headed by a Managing Director, with a Board comprising government officials and other members. Operations are organised through regional and depot-level units across the state.
As the principal public bus operator in a state characterised by mountainous terrain, scattered settlements and seasonal tourist and pilgrim flows, UTC provides essential connectivity for residents of remote hill areas, students, government employees and travellers. It complements rail connectivity, which is largely confined to the foothills and plains, and supports the state's tourism economy by linking transport hubs with hill stations and pilgrimage centres.
