The Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences is a public university dedicated to medical education, healthcare and medical research. It is located at Saifai in the Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh, India, and functions as a medical school, hospital and research institution.
The university was earlier known as the U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, which was established in 2005. It was subsequently upgraded to a full-fledged university by the Government of Uttar Pradesh under Act 15 of 2016, giving it its present name and status.
