Tom Lexley William Cooper (born 26 November 1986) is an Australian–Dutch former cricketer who represented the Netherlands in international cricket between 2010 and 2023. At the domestic level in Australia, he played for South Australia and turned out in the Big Bash League for the Adelaide Strikers, Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat.
Cooper played his junior cricket in New South Wales before relocating to Adelaide, where he progressed into South Australia's domestic side. In 2009, he learnt that he was eligible to represent the Netherlands by virtue of his Dutch passport, and he went on to play for the national team for over a decade. His international appearances included the 2011 Cricket World Cup as well as the ICC Men's Twenty20 World Cups in 2014 and 2016.
Cooper's career was deeply affected by the death of his friend and teammate Phillip Hughes. Cooper was batting with Hughes on 25 November 2014 when Hughes was struck by a cricket ball during a domestic match; Hughes died two days later. Cooper's form was disrupted for a period following the tragedy.
His Australian domestic career concluded after the 2020–21 season with South Australia and the 2021–22 Big Bash League season. After a six-year gap from international cricket, he returned to the Dutch national team and featured at the 2022 Men's T20 World Cup held in Australia. He played his final international match for the Netherlands in 2023.
