The resort is situated at Covelong, a fishing village on the East Coast Road (ECR) south of Chennai, between the city and the temple town of Mahabalipuram. The property occupies a site associated with an 18th-century Dutch fort that once stood on the headland overlooking the Bay of Bengal, and the resort layout incorporates references to this maritime heritage.
