Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) is a state public university located in Tirupati, in the Chittoor region of Andhra Pradesh, India. Established in the mid-twentieth century, it is one of the older state universities of Andhra Pradesh and serves as a major centre for higher education and research in the Rayalaseema region.

Sri Venkateswara University is a multi-faculty institution offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes across the arts, sciences, commerce, management, engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, and education. The university is named after Lord Venkateswara, the presiding deity of the Tirumala temple, reflecting the cultural and religious importance of Tirupati. It functions as an affiliating university for a number of colleges across its jurisdiction in addition to running its own teaching departments on the main campus.
The university was founded to expand access to higher education in the southern districts of the erstwhile Andhra State and was developed in close association with the city of Tirupati, which is also home to several other educational and research institutions.
