South West Delhi is one of the eleven administrative districts of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, India. Located in the south-western part of Delhi, it is among the larger districts of the territory by area and includes a mix of urban neighbourhoods, institutional zones, and rural villages along the border with Haryana.

The district is administered by a Deputy Commissioner (also designated District Magistrate) under the Revenue Department of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. For revenue and administrative purposes, South West Delhi is divided into subdivisions, each headed by a Sub-Divisional Magistrate. The subdivisions commonly associated with the district include Vasant Vihar, Najafgarh, Delhi Cantonment and Kapashera.
Law and order is handled by the South West District of Delhi Police, which functions as a separate police district with its own Deputy Commissioner of Police and a network of police stations covering localities such as Vasant Kunj, R. K. Puram, Najafgarh and Delhi Cantonment.
South West Delhi shares boundaries with several other Delhi districts, including West Delhi to the north, South Delhi to the east, and the state of Haryana to the west and south. The district contains a substantial rural belt around Najafgarh, parts of which lie in the Najafgarh basin, alongside dense urban colonies in Dwarka (administered partly through neighbouring districts), Vasant Kunj, Vasant Vihar, R. K. Puram and the Delhi Cantonment area.
South West Delhi is among the more populous districts of the National Capital Territory. The population includes a mix of long-settled village communities in the Najafgarh region, government employees in colonies such as R. K. Puram, defence personnel in the cantonment, and migrants from across India in newer residential pockets. Hindi is the predominant language, with Punjabi, Urdu and English also widely used.
The district is served by the Delhi Metro (notably the Magenta, Pink and Airport Express lines passing through or near its localities), the Indian Railways network via stations such as Delhi Cantonment, and major arterial roads including National Highway 48 and the Outer Ring Road. Proximity to Indira Gandhi International Airport gives the district significant aviation-related infrastructure.
South West Delhi holds strategic and administrative importance owing to the presence of military installations in Delhi Cantonment, diplomatic enclaves in and around Vasant Vihar and Chanakyapuri's vicinity, and a concentration of central government residential complexes. Its rural fringe near Najafgarh also represents one of the largest contiguous agricultural and semi-urban zones within the National Capital Territory.
