Sonarika Bhadoria was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She entered the entertainment industry as a teenager, beginning her career in television while still in her schooling years. Her early audition for the role of Parvati in a major mythological series led to her debut as a lead actress.
Bhadoria made her acting debut as Parvati (and the various forms of the goddess including Sati, Adi Shakti and Shailaja) in Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev, produced by Triangle Film Company for Life OK. The show, which centred on the life of Lord Shiva (played by Mohit Raina), premiered in December 2011 and became one of the most-watched mythological serials of its time. Her portrayal received critical appreciation and won her recognition at industry award ceremonies, including honours for Best Actress in a mythological role.
Following her exit from Mahadev, she appeared in the supernatural-thriller series Prithvi Vallabh on Sony TV in 2018, in which she played Mrinalvati alongside Ashish Sharma. She has also featured in television specials and music videos.
Bhadoria made her film debut in the Telugu-language film Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam (2016), directed by G. Nageswara Reddy and starring Manchu Vishnu and Raj Tarun. She has subsequently appeared in Hindi feature projects and short films, expanding her work beyond television.
Sonarika Bhadoria is regarded as part of a generation of young television actors who rose to prominence through the revival of mythological storytelling on Indian general entertainment channels in the early 2010s. Her depiction of Parvati contributed to the popular visual identity of the goddess for a wide television audience and demonstrated the cross-regional appeal of well-produced mythological serials.
