In August 2018, Nepal played its inaugural One Day International against the Netherlands. Kami was one of the eleven cricketers selected for that historic fixture, marking Nepal's entry into the ODI format.
In January 2019, Kami became the first bowler representing Nepal to take a five-wicket haul in an ODI, an early milestone in the country's ODI history.
Kami's career is closely tied to landmark moments in Nepalese cricket. His participation in Nepal's first ODI and his pioneering five-wicket haul place him among the formative figures of the national side's transition to top-level limited-overs cricket.
