Ishaque came up through Bengal's domestic women's cricket structure, where she developed as a specialist left-arm spinner. Like several Indian women cricketers of her generation, she gained wider visibility through performances on the domestic circuit before being picked up at the franchise level.
She has played for Bengal in the senior women's domestic competitions organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), including the limited-overs and Twenty20 inter-state tournaments.
Ishaque was signed by a franchise in the Women's Premier League, the BCCI's top-tier Twenty20 league for women launched in 2023. Her left-arm spin has been her principal contribution at the franchise level.
As a slow left-arm orthodox bowler, Ishaque relies on flight, control of length, and variations in pace. Such bowlers are typically used in the powerplay and middle overs in Twenty20 cricket to restrict scoring and pick up wickets through the air.
Ishaque is among the cricketers from Bengal women's cricket whose progression to the Women's Premier League reflects the broader expansion of professional opportunities for Indian women cricketers following the establishment of equal match fees by the BCCI in 2022 and the launch of the WPL in 2023.
