Sabarmati University is a private university located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It was formerly known as Calorx Teachers' University (CTU). The institution is situated at the Green Woods Campus, near Vaishno Devi Circle in Ahmedabad.
The university was founded in 2009. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), the statutory body responsible for the coordination and maintenance of standards of higher education in India.
Originally established with a focus on teacher education under the name Calorx Teachers' University, the institution was subsequently renamed Sabarmati University.
