Rohini Molleti, known professionally as Rohini, is an Indian actress, screenwriter, dubbing artist, and lyricist. She has worked primarily in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu cinema, with a few Kannada film credits as well. Rohini entered the film industry as a child artist at the age of five and has since built a career spanning over four decades across multiple South Indian film industries. While the bulk of her work has been in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu, she has also appeared in a small number of Kannada productions. In addition to acting, she has contributed to films as a screenwriter, dubbing artist and lyricist.
Her performance as Rangi in the 1995 film Stri brought her significant critical recognition. For this role she received the National Film Award – Special Mention, as well as the Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Special Jury Award for Best Performance.
