Simon Robert Key (22 April 1945 – 3 February 2023) was a British Conservative politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Salisbury from 1983 to 2010. Before entering politics he worked as a teacher, and in later life he served as Chair of Governors at Salisbury Cathedral School.

Key began his career as a teacher before moving into electoral politics. He was associated with the Conservative Party and built his parliamentary career around the constituency of Salisbury in Wiltshire, southern England.
Key was elected to the House of Commons in 1983 as the Conservative MP for Salisbury. He represented the constituency continuously for over a quarter of a century, standing down at the 2010 general election after 27 years in Parliament.
After leaving Parliament, Key remained active in public and educational life in Salisbury, notably as Chair of Governors at Salisbury Cathedral School. He died on 3 February 2023 at the age of 77.
