Overview

Robert Ian Keogh (born 21 October 1991) is an English cricketer who plays for Northamptonshire. He is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break.

Before joining the first-class game, Keogh featured in minor counties cricket for Bedfordshire. He made his List A debut in August 2010, opening the batting against Yorkshire, and made his Twenty20 debut the following year. His first-class debut followed in August 2012, when he turned out for Northamptonshire against Glamorgan. That remained his only first-class appearance of the season, but he played eight matches in the subsequent campaign.

In a match against Hampshire in September 2012, Keogh registered his maiden first-class century and went on to make 221, an innings that included 32 boundaries. He has scored at least one century in each subsequent season, though he has not yet reached the milestone of 1,000 runs in a season; his best return was 876 runs in 2015, when he appeared in all 18 of Northamptonshire's first-class games.

Keogh played for Northamptonshire at Twenty20 finals day in 2016, finishing on the winning side. His best bowling figures in first-class cricket also came in the 2016 season, in a match against Glamorgan in which he and Graeme White shared all twenty Glamorgan wickets. Keogh took 9/52 in the first innings and four wickets in the second, returning match figures of 48.4-17-125-13.
