Dhanjani moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in entertainment and began his on-screen work in Hindi television in the early 2010s. Before becoming a fixture as a host, he trained and worked as a model and theatre performer, transitioning to fiction television through audition-based casting common in the Indian daily soap industry.
His breakthrough came with Pavitra Rishta, the long-running Ekta Kapoor–produced family drama on Sony Entertainment Television, where he played Arjun Singhania. The role established his profile among Hindi general entertainment channel audiences. He subsequently appeared in fiction shows including Dil Dostii Dance on Channel V India, which targeted a younger, urban demographic.
Dhanjani participated in and won the celebrity dance reality show Nach Baliye Season 6 on Star Plus, partnered with actress Asha Negi. The win significantly raised his profile and led to a sustained second career as a television host. He has hosted or co-hosted several reality and non-fiction formats on channels such as Star Plus, Sony Entertainment Television and &TV, including stints on dance and talent-based programmes.
Beyond on-screen work, Dhanjani co-founded a Mumbai-based events and content production company that has been involved in live events and digital content for the Hindi entertainment market. He has also appeared in web series and short-format digital content as Indian streaming platforms expanded in the late 2010s.
Dhanjani is representative of a generation of Indian television performers who moved fluidly between scripted daily soaps, dance and reality formats, and host-driven non-fiction shows. His career trajectory — from a supporting fiction lead to a recognised reality-show winner and then to a regular host — illustrates the increasing premium placed on multi-format presence by Hindi general entertainment channels during the 2010s.
