The Trust functions as the parent body that owns and manages the institutions, while academic administration is handled by individual institutional heads and governing councils.
The Trust manages a range of educational institutions in and around Bengaluru, including:
These institutions span engineering, management, teacher education, allied health sciences, commerce, science, arts and school education.
RSST is regarded as one of the prominent private educational trusts in Karnataka. Its flagship institution, R. V. College of Engineering, is among the well-known engineering colleges in southern India and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. The Trust's schools and pre-university colleges have a long-standing presence in Bengaluru's education landscape, and its alumni network spans academia, industry, public service and entrepreneurship.
The Trust is administered by a board of trustees and an executive committee that oversee policy, finances and long-term planning across the institutions it manages. Day-to-day academic operations are carried out by principals, directors and faculty councils at each institution, while curriculum and examinations are governed by the respective affiliating universities and statutory boards such as the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka, and the relevant school education boards.
