Parul Chauhan

Parul Chauhan is an Indian television actress known for her work in Hindi-language serials produced by Rajan Shahi's Director's Kut Productions and broadcast on Star Plus. She came to wide public recognition through her role as Ragini in Bidaai, and later played Aaliya in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

Career

Chauhan began her television career in the mid-2000s with supporting roles before being cast in Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai, which premiered on Star Plus in 2007. In the show, produced by Rajan Shahi, she played Ragini, one of the two cousins at the centre of the narrative, opposite Sara Khan's Sadhana. The serial ran until 2010 and was among the most-watched Hindi general-entertainment programmes of its period, establishing Chauhan as a recognisable face on Indian television.

Following Bidaai, she appeared in dance and reality formats associated with Star Plus, including Nach Baliye with her husband. She subsequently returned to fiction television in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, also produced by Director's Kut Productions, portraying Aaliya Singhania, the sister of the male lead Kartik. Chauhan married actor Chirag Thakkar. The couple are reported to have a daughter.
