Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) is a state university located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. It was established in 1962 by the then Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Biju Patnaik, and is recognised as the second oldest agricultural university in the country.
The university is dedicated to agriculture-related research, extension and education. Its academic and scientific work spans various disciplines connected with agriculture and allied sciences, with the broader objective of supporting the development of agricultural practice and human resources in the field.
OUAT comprises eleven constituent colleges, along with dedicated wings for research, extension services, and planning, monitoring and evaluation. These distinct wings reflect the tripartite mandate commonly associated with agricultural universities in India, namely teaching, research and extension.
