Saini has featured for the Haryana cricket team in matches organised under the BCCI's domestic structure, which includes the Ranji Trophy (first-class), the Vijay Hazare Trophy (List A), and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (Twenty20). Haryana competes in the Elite Group of these tournaments and is administered by the Haryana Cricket Association.
Indian domestic cricket follows a zonal and group-based structure, with state associations fielding teams across the longer and shorter formats. Players such as Saini who appear regularly for state sides form the core feeder pool from which selectors consider candidates for India A and the senior national team.
As a Haryana player, Saini is part of a state cricketing tradition that has produced India internationals including Kapil Dev, Virender Sehwag, Ajay Jadeja and Joginder Sharma. Haryana won the Ranji Trophy in the 1990–91 season and remains a competitive side in domestic cricket.
