Nalini Jaywant (18 February 1926 – 22 December 2010) was an Indian actress known for her work in Hindi cinema during the 1940s and 1950s. She was among the leading screen presences of her era and featured in a number of films through this period.
Jaywant was widely admired for her on-screen appeal. In a poll conducted by Filmfare in the 1950s, she was declared the most beautiful woman in the movies. Her contemporaries also held her acting abilities in high regard; the actor Dilip Kumar described her as "the greatest actress he ever worked with".
Active primarily in the post-Independence years of Hindi cinema, Jaywant remains associated with the classical period of the industry. She passed away on 22 December 2010.
