Najeeb Tarakai

Najeeb Tarakai (2 February 1991 – 6 October 2020) was an Afghan cricketer who represented the Afghanistan national team in international cricket. He featured in twelve Twenty20 International matches and one One Day International fixture during his career.

Tarakai made his international debut at the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 tournament held in Bangladesh. He was also a member of the Afghanistan squad that won the silver medal in the cricket tournament at the 2014 Asian Games.

In domestic first-class cricket, Tarakai amassed more than 2,000 runs over the course of his career, establishing himself as a notable batter on the Afghan domestic circuit.
