Mohammad Ali Jauhar University is a private university located in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established in 2006 by the Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust and is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The institution was granted university status in 2012.
The university was granted minority status by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (NCMEI) on 28 May 2013. It is named after Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar, a prominent figure associated with educational and social movements in India.
The university's land acquisition has been the subject of legal controversy. In October 2024, the Supreme Court of India upheld a ruling from the Allahabad High Court that allowed the Uttar Pradesh government to terminate the university's land lease.
