Mohammad Ali

Overview

Mohammad Ali (born 1 November 1992) is a Pakistani cricketer who has represented the national team in all three formats of the international game. A right-arm fast-medium bowler, he came through the domestic system in Pakistan before earning selection at the senior level.

Ali made his first-class debut for Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on 1 September 2018. He went on to be the leading wicket-taker for the side in that tournament, claiming twenty-five dismissals across five matches. He made his List A debut for the same team in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam One Day Cup on 8 October 2018.

He earned his Test cap against England in December 2022. In April 2023, he was named in the Pakistan A squad for the first-class and List A series against Zimbabwe. He subsequently made his Twenty20 International debut on 16 March 2025 against New Zealand at Hagley Oval, during Pakistan's away tour.

In January 2026, Ali agreed a short-term contract to join Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club in England as an overseas player, signing on for the final two months of that year's County Championship season.
