Michael James Rippon (born 14 September 1991) is a South African-born cricketer who plays international cricket for New Zealand. He had earlier represented the Netherlands national cricket team.
Rippon is a right-handed batsman and bowls left-arm unorthodox spin, a style also known as left-arm wrist spin. This combination of batting and bowling allows him to contribute as an all-round option in the middle order and as a spin-bowling resource for his side.
After beginning his cricketing journey in South Africa, Rippon went on to feature for the Netherlands in international fixtures before later transitioning to the New Zealand set-up, where he has continued his international career.
