Meerpet–Jillelguda is a residential locality situated on the southern outskirts of Hyderabad in the Indian state of Telangana. The area, often referred to as Meerpet–Jillelguda or Meerpet Jillelguda as a combined municipal unit, lies in the Rangareddy district and forms part of the broader Hyderabad metropolitan region. It developed from two adjoining villages, Meerpet and Jillelguda, into a contiguous urban neighbourhood as Hyderabad expanded southwards.

Meerpet–Jillelguda is located to the south-east of Hyderabad city, adjoining the localities of Saroornagar, Vanasthalipuram, Champapet and Karmanghat. The neighbourhood lies a short distance from the Inner Ring Road and is connected to central Hyderabad through arterial roads passing via Saroornagar and Santosh Nagar. It falls within the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) jurisdiction.
Meerpet and Jillelguda were earlier administered as gram panchayats. With the urban growth of southern Hyderabad, the two were brought together under a single municipality. The Meerpet–Jillelguda Municipality is part of the urban local bodies governing Hyderabad's peripheral areas, providing civic services such as water supply, sanitation, road maintenance and property tax administration. The locality also falls under the Saroornagar police jurisdiction in the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate.
The locality has a mixed residential character, with independent houses, gated communities and apartment complexes. The population is largely middle-class, drawn by relatively affordable housing compared with central Hyderabad neighbourhoods. Telugu is the predominant language, with significant numbers of Urdu and Hindi speakers reflecting the broader linguistic profile of the Hyderabad region.
Meerpet–Jillelguda represents the pattern of peri-urban growth around Hyderabad, where former villages on the city's edge have been absorbed into the metropolitan fabric and reorganised as municipal wards. Its proximity to Dilsukhnagar, a major commercial hub of south-east Hyderabad, has driven both residential demand and small-scale commercial activity in the locality.
