Mahadipur is a border checkpoint in the Malda district of West Bengal, India. It lies along the India–Bangladesh international border and serves as one of the principal land customs stations between the two countries, facilitating cross-border trade and the movement of passengers between West Bengal and the Rajshahi Division of Bangladesh.

Mahadipur is situated in the English Bazar area of Malda district, close to the historical site of Gaur. The checkpoint connects with the Sona Masjid land port on the Bangladeshi side, which falls within Shibganj Upazila of Chapainawabganj District. The Mahananda river system and the wider Ganges floodplain define the surrounding terrain, which is largely agricultural.
The Mahadipur–Sona Masjid corridor is used predominantly for the export of goods from India to Bangladesh, with stone chips, fruits, onions, maize and other agricultural and construction commodities being among the items commonly handled. The checkpoint is operated as a Land Customs Station under the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, while immigration and security functions are carried out by the Bureau of Immigration and the Border Security Force.
Cross-border passenger movement at Mahadipur is permitted for travellers carrying valid travel documents and appropriate visas, although the volume is smaller than at the larger Petrapole–Benapole crossing in North 24 Parganas.
The checkpoint falls within the jurisdiction of the Government of West Bengal for civil administration and the Government of India for customs, immigration and border security. Infrastructure development at the crossing has been pursued under initiatives of the Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI), which has worked to upgrade selected India–Bangladesh land crossings into integrated check posts.
Mahadipur is significant for the economy of Malda district, supporting employment in transport, warehousing, loading and customs clearance services. It is one of several land routes that underpin India–Bangladesh bilateral trade, which is among the largest in South Asia. Its proximity to Gaur and Pandua also places it within a region of considerable historical and tourist interest.
