Kund

Overview

Kund is a village in the Khushab District of Punjab Province, Pakistan. It also functions as one of the 51 Union Councils, which are the basic administrative subdivisions used for local governance in the district.

The settlement lies in the Punjab plains of north-central Pakistan, with its geographical coordinates recorded at approximately 32°24′40″N 72°12′17″E. Khushab District, in which Kund is situated, forms part of the Sargodha Division.

As a Union Council, Kund serves as a unit of local administration, grouping together the village and its surrounding area for purposes of civic representation and the delivery of basic services. The Union Council system is the lowest tier of local government in Pakistan and is used across districts of Punjab Province for administrative organisation.
