Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University (KBVSASU) is a state public university located in Nalbari, in the western part of Assam, India. The university is dedicated to the teaching and research of Sanskrit, classical Indian knowledge systems, and ancient studies, while also offering programmes in allied disciplines. It is named after Kumar Bhaskaravarman, the seventh-century ruler of the Varman dynasty of Kamarupa, who was a celebrated patron of learning and a contemporary of Emperor Harshavardhana.
