KL University, formally known as Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (KLEF), is a private deemed-to-be university located in Vaddeswaram, near Vijayawada, in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, India. The institution traces its origin to KL College of Engineering, which was established by the Koneru Lakshmaiah Charities as a self-financing engineering college affiliated to a state university in Andhra Pradesh. Over time, the college expanded its academic offerings beyond core engineering disciplines to include programmes in business administration, pharmacy, architecture, law, and the basic sciences.
