Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur (commonly abbreviated as JNTUA) is a state public technical university located in Ananthapuramu, in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is one of the constituent technical universities formed after the restructuring of the erstwhile Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, and is named after Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India.

The university traces its institutional roots to the technical education infrastructure created in the undivided state of Andhra Pradesh under the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University system. Following legislative restructuring of that parent body, JNTU Anantapur was constituted as an autonomous state university with its own jurisdiction over affiliated engineering and technical colleges in the Rayalaseema region and parts of southern Andhra Pradesh.
JNTUA functions both as a teaching university through its constituent campus at Ananthapuramu and as an affiliating university for a large number of private and government engineering, pharmacy and management colleges spread across the surrounding districts.
