Jamshedpur Women's University, formerly Jamshedpur Women's College, is an institution of higher education for women located in Jharkhand, India. It was established in 1953 and founded by Perin C. Mehta. In 1962, the institution acquired its own campus, which was gifted by the philanthropist Ratan Tata.
The institution offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the streams of arts, commerce and sciences. It is affiliated with Kolhan University and holds grade 'A' accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It has also been recognised by the University Grants Commission as a Centre with Potential for Excellence (CPE).
The institution states that it aims to provide holistic education for its students, with special attention given to students from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities.
Under the Jharkhand State University Amendment Act, 2017, the college was set to become the first university for women in Jharkhand. The upgrade was approved by Draupadi Murmu in her capacity as Governor and Chancellor of the State Universities.
