Jai (born Jaikanth, 6 April 1984) is an Indian actor and musician who works predominantly in Tamil-language cinema. He came to prominence through Venkat Prabhu's sports film Chennai 600028 (2007) and the period drama Subramaniapuram (2008), which together established him as a leading actor in Tamil cinema.

Jai belongs to a family with a strong presence in Tamil film music. He is the nephew of the composer Deva and a cousin of the music director Srikanth Deva. He began his film career in a supporting role in Bagavathi (2002) before transitioning to lead roles later in the decade.
In 2007, Jai auditioned successfully for a leading role in Chennai 600028, a sports-themed ensemble film directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film's reception brought him wider recognition. The following year, his role in Subramaniapuram (2008) proved to be a major commercial and critical success, consolidating his standing as a lead actor in Tamil cinema.
