JSPM's Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering, commonly referred to as RSCOE, is an engineering institution located in Pune, Maharashtra, India. It is run by the Jayawant Shikshan Prasarak Mandal (JSPM), an educational trust that operates a network of professional and technical institutions across the Pune region. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in engineering and is affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly the University of Pune).
The institution is named after Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur, popularly known as Rajarshi Shahu, a 19th–20th century social reformer recognised for his work on education and social justice in western India.

RSCOE is part of a cluster of self-financed technical institutions established under the JSPM trust, which runs colleges in fields such as engineering, management, pharmacy, polytechnic education and computer applications. The Pune region, where the college operates, is one of India's largest centres of engineering education, with a long tradition of private and government-aided technical institutes feeding into the city's information technology, automotive and manufacturing industries.
Like most engineering colleges in Maharashtra, RSCOE functions within the regulatory framework of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra (DTE), and follows the curriculum prescribed by its affiliating university.
The college offers Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) programmes across several core and applied branches of engineering. Typical disciplines available at engineering colleges of this profile include:
Postgraduate programmes are offered at the Master of Engineering (M.E.) level in selected specialisations, and certain departments are recognised as research centres for doctoral studies under Savitribai Phule Pune University. Academic delivery typically follows the university's credit-based semester system, with internal continuous assessment combined with end-semester examinations.
Each branch of study is organised as a department headed by a faculty in-charge, and supports laboratories, workshops and project work aligned with the university syllabus. Departments often coordinate with industry partners for guest lectures, internships and final-year projects, and host technical events, paper presentations and student chapters of professional bodies.
The college campus houses academic blocks with classrooms and laboratories, a central library with print and digital resources, computing facilities, seminar halls, and sports areas. Common facilities at JSPM-run campuses include hostels for boys and girls, transport services, a canteen, and medical assistance. The campus is part of a larger educational cluster shared with other JSPM institutions, allowing students access to combined infrastructure for cultural and sporting activities.
Admission to undergraduate engineering programmes is conducted through the centralised admission process (CAP) administered by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. Candidates are admitted on the basis of their score in the MHT-CET or JEE (Main), along with eligibility in the qualifying examination. A portion of seats is filled through institute-level admissions for management and Non-Resident Indian categories, as permitted by state regulations.
Postgraduate admissions are typically based on GATE scores and the state-conducted PG-CET, while doctoral admissions follow the procedures of the affiliating university.
Student activities at RSCOE include departmental technical festivals, cultural events, and sports tournaments organised in collaboration with sister institutions of JSPM. Students participate in inter-collegiate competitions, hackathons, robotics events and project exhibitions held across Pune. Professional society chapters, such as those affiliated with engineering bodies, often organise workshops, cert
