IIM Guwahati's academic offerings typically include:

Admission to the flagship MBA programme is conducted through the Common Admission Test (CAT), which is administered by the IIMs on a rotational basis.

Governance

The Act empowers each IIM to grant degrees and to manage its academic and administrative affairs independently. The institute is headed by a Director, with a Chairperson presiding over the Board of Governors.

Significance

IIM Guwahati is the principal IIM serving the North-Eastern states of India and plays a role in expanding access to high-quality management education in the region. Through its research, consultancy, and executive education activities, the institute contributes to capacity building in business, public policy, and regional development.
