IIMT University is a private university located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established in 2016 under Uttar Pradesh Act No. 32, which conferred upon it the status of a state private university.
The university's main campus is situated in the Ganga Nagar neighbourhood of Meerut. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission under Sections 2(f) and 12B of the UGC Act, which formalises its standing as an institution eligible to be considered for central assistance and to award recognised degrees.
IIMT University has been accredited with an 'A' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), a body that evaluates higher education institutions in India on parameters relating to teaching, learning, infrastructure and governance.
