Hamish Rutherford

Hamish Duncan Rutherford (born 27 April 1989) is a former New Zealand professional cricketer. A left-handed batsman who also bowled occasional left-arm spin, he played first-class cricket for Otago and went on to represent New Zealand in international cricket.

Rutherford was born in Dunedin and educated at Otago Boys' High School in the same city. He comes from a notable cricketing family: he is the son of Ken Rutherford, a former New Zealand Test captain, and the nephew of Ian Rutherford.

Domestically, Rutherford was associated with Otago in New Zealand's first-class circuit, where he established himself before earning international recognition. His career encompassed appearances for the New Zealand national side across formats during his time as an international player.
