Government Villupuram Medical College is a state-run medical institution established in 2010 at Mundiyampakkam village in Tamil Nadu, India. The college is recognised by the Medical Council of India and is affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Guindy, Chennai. Its administration falls under the Directorate of Medical Education, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu.
The college admits 100 students per year for the MBBS programme, comprising 85 seats under the state quota and 15 under the All India quota. It also enrols 140 students annually in allied health science and paramedical degree programmes, along with 130 students in allied health science diploma courses. In addition, the institution functions as a recognised training centre for nursing students.
Postgraduate medical degree courses have been offered since the 2019–20 academic year, with five specialties and a combined annual intake of 40 students. The attached teaching hospital has a capacity of 650 teaching beds and 500 non-teaching beds for patient care. It includes an emergency ward under the Tamil Nadu Accident and Emergency Care Initiative (TAEI) and specialty departments such as oncology, surgical gastroenterology, nephrology, urology and paediatric surgery.
Diagnostic and support facilities at the hospital include a central laboratory, a CT and MRI scan centre, a mammography unit, and routine X-ray and ultrasonogram services.
