Government Vellore Medical College (GVMC), also referred to as Government Vellore Medical College Hospital (GVMCH), is a medical college located at Adukkamparai in Vellore city, Tamil Nadu. It is situated about 8 km from the Vellore Town Bus Terminus and is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
The institution was established in 2005, making it a relatively new addition to the medical colleges in Tamil Nadu. It functions as both a teaching college and an associated hospital, providing clinical training to its students alongside healthcare services.
GVMC offers the MCI-recognised undergraduate Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme. At the postgraduate level, it offers MD courses in General Medicine, Anaesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, Dermatology and Paediatrics, as well as MS courses in General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The college also offers a three-year MCh super-speciality course in Neurosurgery.
