Glocal University is a private, coeducational institution located in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. The campus lies in the foothills of the Shivalik mountains. The university's name is a portmanteau of "global" and "local", reflecting its stated vision of "Global canvass, local colours".
The university is a non-profit institution established under the Uttar Pradesh Private Universities Act, 2011 (U.P. Act no. 2 of 2012) and is recognised by the University Grants Commission.
Glocal University is organised into six major schools, which together offer more than thirty-five undergraduate, post-graduate, and professional courses across a range of disciplines.
In 2023, Glocal University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Noida-based MEKO Health Care Pvt. Ltd. The collaboration is intended to strengthen the learning support system for healthcare professionals in India and abroad through shared resources for upskilling and vocational programmes. Areas of cooperation include digital learning, hands-on training, the awarding of certifications, degrees, diplomas and fellowships, as well as the sharing of infrastructure and technical expertise.
