G H Raisoni University is a private university situated in the village of Dhoda Borgaon in Pandhurna district, Madhya Pradesh, India. The institution forms part of the Raisoni Group of Institutions (RGI), a network of educational establishments operating in central India.
The university was established in 2016 by the GHR Sons Educational and Medical Research Foundation. It was constituted under the Madhya Pradesh Niji Vishwavidyalay (Sthapana Ewam Sanchalan) Sanshodhan Adhyadesh, 2016, an ordinance promulgated by the Government of Madhya Pradesh to enable the setting up of private universities in the state.
The same ordinance also provided for the establishment of Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, alongside the D.C. University, which was yet to become operational as of April 2018. G H Raisoni University thus belongs to a cohort of private universities created in Madhya Pradesh under this legislative framework.
