Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital (FMMCH) is a government tertiary medical college and hospital located in Balasore, Odisha. Established in 2017, it is the sixth government medical college in the state of Odisha.
The institution offers the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree, with an annual undergraduate intake of 100 students. Admission is granted on the basis of merit through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
The hospital attached to the college is among the largest in Balasore district. According to the Government of Odisha, FMMCH ranks second in the state in terms of patient load, after Srirama Chandra Bhanja Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. Its location near the main town of Balasore has contributed to its standing among the newer medical colleges in the state.
The sanction of grant for establishing the medical college during the tenure of the UPA 2 government is credited to former Union Minister Srikant Jena.
